“Let your kids jump in muddy puddles whenever they want. Let them get wild with finger paints and glitter. Soon they’ll be all grown up and see the dirty clothes and wet shoes as nothing but a nuisance.”

Ty’s Mom, Cindy Campbell

Celebrate childhood by taking Peppa Pig’s #MuddyPuddlesChallenge on April 1st!

In 2015, the Muddy Puddles Project declared April 1st National Jump in Muddy Puddles Day. We are thrilled to announce that the designation has gone global in 2021! Peppa Pig is asking YOU to celebrate Jump in Muddy Puddles Day on April 1st by taking the #MuddyPuddlesChallenge on Instagram! It’s so easy:

  • Take a video of you or your kids jumping five times in a muddy puddle
  • Tag five friends to do the same
  • Don’t forget to tag @muddypuddlesproject and @officialpeppa in your IG Story!

We encourage you to be creative with what you deem to be a “muddy puddle.” It can be on your bed… in a puddle… in your kitchen… wherever you imagine your muddy puddle to be. Last year, some kids splashed around in pools of water with hot chocolate mix!

*Optional – Some animated GIFs featuring Peppa Pig will be available for including in your IG Story, and you can jump along to the song “Jumping in Muddy Puddles” from Peppa’s hit album.  It is available in the IG Story music feature.

Why We Jump in Puddles

Every 3 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. The Muddy Puddles Project is a celebration of children and childhood, but it is also a fundraising platform for the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation for childhood cancer research.  In honor of those children who may not be able to enjoy the simple things that other kids can, we ask you to participate in “Jump in Muddy Puddles Day” on April 1st (and throughout the entire wet and rainy month of April).  After all, April showers bring… muddy puddles!
